Once upon a time, one had to stick with pink for a girl’s nursery and blue for a boy’s, which didn’t give you much choice when it came to decorating. Parents decorating girls’ nurseries used to be faced with an infinite assortment of pale pink and ivory bed sets or – for the truly adventurous – perhaps a few in pale yellow or dusty-green tones.
But thanks to modern mindsets, little girls are no longer condemned to nothing but frills and lace. Blue baby bedding has unique needs. One of the available options for shoppers who are looking forward to the birth of a baby girl, is Blue baby bedding. People who are fond of the color blue will be amazed at the selection of styles there are to choose from!
baby boy nursery bedding can also feature lots of blue, usually as one color in a broader scheme. Blue would be the central color in any water themed room or even nurseries featuring the sky or flowers. Blue is often found in the geometric designs of contemporary nurseries, and parents who like a cleaner, more modern look will often be drawn to these.
The theme you choose is secondary to safety features that you need to become acquainted with in baby bedding before making a purchase. You don’t want to choose bedding that doesn’t conform to standard crib measurements, as that could be harmful to babies and toddlers who might get stuck in gaps.
Baby bedding must be constructed from hypoallergenic materials, and should include a label describing them, because unethical nursery bedding manufacturers may use hazardous chemicals known to be chronically dangerous to the respiratory systems of infants. An honest retailer will tell you everything contained in the baby linen you’re buying and won’t offer you bedding that has irregular measurements, and this allows new parents to relax and concentrate on decorating.
Just think about how nice it will be to finish off your little girl’s room in shades of blue. Your daughter’s blue nursery could be full of angels in the clouds; or it could be an undersea world filled with mermaids. Whichever soft blue bedding you select for your girl will signify that decorations for a girl’s room do not have to be restricted to over used, soft pink shades only.
