Teens are extraordinarily creative and adore craft. I’ve always loved seeing the creations of my very own children using NZ shop bought items.
Here are a couple of concepts that kids can have fun with :
1. Make your own lip gloss. By stirring kool-aid powder with Vaseline, you can create several flavours of lip gloss. Melt the Vaseline in the microwave. Try it thirty seconds at a time. Mix the kool-aid and microwave another time, again 30 seconds. Mix and then allow to cool down. Once its cool enough to touch, move the Vaseline into its last storage container and allow to cool down utterly. You won’t find these at any NZ Shop.
2. Do Not purchase wrapping paper and gift tags from your NZ shop. Rubber stamps can create the most superb wrapping paper and gift tags. We use both ink pads and also pens on our stamps. The white shiny wrapping paper and gift tags can be acquired thru a paper provider. We buy little cards and then punch holes in them, for present tags. With corner punchers you make smashing outleines on the gift vouchers. We also enjoy making cards with rubber stamps.
3. Sweet plants. Start with a pot. Paint or decorate to your liking. Put styrofoam in the base of the pot. Now create the plant with an assortment of candy, wire and sticks. You may add decorative flowers. Use hard sweets or chocolate kisses to cover the foam.
4. Kids like to make garments. Stitching fabric onto the base of pants, also the pockets of pants can make plenty of laughter.
5. Teens like to scrapbook. My private girl can infrequently take enough photos in a single day for a whole album. They can scrapbook any activity or club they belong to. They can also take pictures at sports games and scrapbook those. The concepts for a teenager and a scrapbook are limitless at a good NZ shop.
6. Knitting and knitting. You can find thousands of free patterns on the internet or at your favourite NZ shop. Youths can make everything from bears, to boxes, to clothes. With string, instead of yarn, you can make bedspreads and table decorations. With rug yarn, you can make a rug for your toilet or bedroom.
7. Notice boards to hang on the NZ shop wall. My child loves her notice boards. Purchase a straightforward wood frame board. The frame can be decorated or painted to the teens liking. Photos or poems or maybe homework can be put up on the notice board once complete.
This is merely a tiny sample of the assorted craft you can suggest to your Teens when next at your NZ Shop .
